10 tips to grow on YouTube

In this digital era, everyone is leaving television, radio, and newspapers and moving towards digital media.

A lot of people have launched their YouTube channels. And many more are launching soon, but not everyone succeeds in growing it.

Here are some tips to grow on YouTube which can help you in getting thousands of subscribers.

Share ability:

Will viewers share your videos?

When you get an idea to make a video, stop and think once again. Think if people will share it or not? Will they like to share it with their friends? If yes, then make a video. Because in Today’s world, there are tons of videos being uploaded daily on YouTube and other social media. How can you be discovered? You can be discovered if people will share your videos. You will be then easily discovered if you are on a number of timelines of Facebook audience.

Conversation:

Are you speaking directly to your audience?

If you sit in front of a camera and talk directly to the audience, it can be a more powerful way to bond with fans and build loyalty.  It is not about talking to lens like a host or a reporter, but it’s about talking specifically to your viewers. And even sometimes by calling their names. Even scripted narrative content can be conversational. If your stuff cannot be conversational, make and upload some few videos like this occasionally. Reading out comments and answer question sessions can be a good idea. However, you want to do it because it strengthens the bond between you and your fans.

Interactivity:

Is there a way to involve your audience?

One of the cool things about making stuff on YouTube is that you can get the audience participate.  You can do it in various ways. You can ask them about giving suggestions that what should you do next? What should be the new topic on which you can make a video? Ask about their likes and dislikes. It can help you know get the ideas that what should you do next and what your audience like the most.

Consistency:

Are there strong, recurring elements to your idea?

Consistency is fun. Top YouTubers tell that consistency is too critical to a channel’s success. But consistency means different things depending on who you ask. Most of the creators say that it’s all about consistency of schedule. It is that YouTubers release their videos on specific day of the week. This is a great way to engage audience. It creates a sense of expectation and excitement. Some other creators will tell that consistency is all about having the same personality or face of the channel. The videos may change but the same person are in them every time. There are also consistent formats which are basically clearly packaged shows. Examples;

  • Episodes to episode shows
  • Consistent opening sequence
  • Consistent segment within the show
  • Consistent branding
  • Consistent tag lines
  • Consistency of voice

Targeting:

Is there clearly defined audience?

Usually when YouTubers make their first video they want as many people in the world to see it, right? But on YouTube, creators have seen that its often more effective to target certain groups or communities, people who are passionate about who they are or what they do. This could be large groups such as moms or a small niche such as toy collectors. Following are few levels that are used to target the specific audience;

  • Channel Level
  • Video Level
  • Series Level

Sustainability:

If the audience loves it, can you make for it?

Ask yourself do you have the resources like budget, the actor, the crew, the location and most importantly personal energy to sustain the idea over time? If you want to be sustainable, just think about how you can make lighter, less time consuming videos or find ways to get more mileage out of your production, like shooting more episodes at once or getting behind the scene footage. Now look you can make stuff with higher production value, but it’s a good idea to also have a second easier way to make series to keep your fans engaged.

Discover ability:

You can help the searches to find out your video. In this category, there are two types of people. One is trending people to search for the mostly used hash tags and other symbols, while the other last is the pop-up culture. For example, how to wear socks, etc.

Accessibility:

This means your all videos should welcome your new audience because people can search any random episode of your videos. You have to make sure that you don’t leave the people in the dark and every video is understandable for new viewers.

Collaboration:

One of the best ways to grow the audience on YouTube is collaboration. It means that you invite famous guest or channel owners so the audience can rose up for the help of people.

Inspiration:

This is the most one factor that means keeping yourself happy and energetic. This tells us that every video should base on reality. You should have a great environment. It is powerful because you can show your passion on the camera.
