March 18, 2019: Prime Minister Imran Khan announces to spend 100 billion rupees annually for the development of tribal areas. He said that “living up to our commitment, a three-week consultative process on 10 year development plan for former FATA is being initiated, starting from Bajaur.”

A session was chaired by PM on March 15th, in which the administrative and security problems about FATA were discussed. PM said that the legal framework in the tribal areas was of crucial importance and the projects will be kept free from corruption.

The indiscriminate and fair distribution of funds should be ensured. Levies and Khasadar force will no longer be unemployed and they will be added into the police force.
