KARACHI: (August 27, 2018): PTI nominated Imran Ismail as a governor of Sindh who got intermediate as a highest education. He never graduated from any university according to documents he submitted for 2018 general election.

According to Form-B and affidavit, Imran Ismail only did B.Com part I after intermediate. Imran won the provincial election from Karachi’s PS-111, beating Murtaza Wahab.

By the nomination, PTI have to face criticism because governor has to oversee all universities in Sindh. To tackle all this criticism Imran Ismail through a press conference asserted that he’s foreign qualified and has studied from the United States and Italy as a leather technician. He also said that after 18th amendment, chancellor of varsities is the Chief Minister, Governor doesn’t have these powers either.

The main criticism has come from PPP leader Saeed Ghani who criticized Imran Ismail nomination as a governor Sindh. Meanwhile, Information Minister Fawad Chouhdry defended nomination by asserting that if a matriculate could become president of the country than no one should be bothered about the former’s qualification as a governor.

Imran Ismail will become 33rd governor of Sindh after taking oath today. President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain has given his approval regarding the appointment of Imran Ismail on the advice of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
