It is really distressing for me to know that turn around time for all cleanliness complaints that are made through government’s provided Citizen’s Portal is the same as any other matter to be resolved by PM’s performance delivery unit. Their response over the phone has been fantastic but the provided information was as absurd as nothing can be.
Let me provide you a bit more details of the complete story. I am among a few lucky users of citizen portal which is a blessing in disguise for all those who like to take up the responsibility as to eradicate problems and be on top of everything regarding management of errands.
After signing up the application I lodged a complaint regarding cleanliness which took two days to be forwarded to concerned departments. I felt encouraged but was disappointed when nobody showed up as I was looking at the garbage and the construction waste still lying down there.
I gathered the courage to approach the concerned team to inquire about the matter but after giving them an adequate time to process and complete the necessary official work. Now it has been more than a week nobody has picked up the construction waste. I have called the pertinent office and I have been informed that all complaints take 41 days to be resolved by this management team of local government. I think the turn around time for cleanliness complaints should be less than 48 hours and there should be no compromise on such complaints.
Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W) has always emphasized on the importance of cleanliness. The current policy regarding the resolution time is not helping at all. As many as 41 days to pick garbage or construction waste is way too much. Please consider this humble plea to revise the complaint resolution time for all complaints regarding cleanliness, I shall be highly obliged.
