LAHORE: Interview for the possible VC for Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) have been postponed due to the absence of convener.
Dr. Khalid Hameed Shiekh was selected to interview all the possible VCs which were 30 in number. The interview was divided in two days, 29th March and 1st April. 15 candidates who were to be interviewed on 29th March appeared at the venue but the convener did not show up.
Other members of the committee including the former principal of Kinnaird College Dr Mira Phailbus, former principal of NCA Prof Dr Nazish Attaullah, Secretary Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab Momin Agha who is also holding additional charge as Chairperson of Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) were also present at the venue.
Therefore, we have decided to postpone the interviews for LCWU only while interviews for other universities will be held as per schedule
the official said and added those scheduled to appear for interviews on April 1 had also been informed about the postponement of interviews.
