Plantation drive in Pakistan

Plantation for Pakistan is known as 10 billion tree Tsunami in five years from 2018-2023.

On 2 September 2018 approximately 1.5 million tree planted in 1st day which led by Imran Khan in province of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa in 2014.

In 2020 the program tripled its number of workers to 63,600 after being halted following the coronavirus.

 

Spring Starting

On 23rd February 2020 Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar on the occasion of plantation said “Clean and green Pakistan is the dream of our Government we will spend 40 billion repress and planting 5 billion tress in Province Punjab and this year 24 billion reserved from budget.

Tiger force day

Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched tree plantation drive in the history of Pakistan on 9th August “Tiger force day”. He urged the people to take participation across the country because Pakistan is on 6th number most affected country by changing climate.

“It is our responsibility to make our country green for new generation and I congratulate Tiger force planting 3.5 million in just one day.

On his Tweet he urged people to participate in nationwide plantation and Government continues to grow the tree.

The Government has also introduced a “ green selfie” campaign where public cam upload their captures.

Uprooting the plants

After the prime minister launched a video has gone viral in which a group of people are being shown uprooting trees from land.

And this video shared by UN enviourment exective director Erik Solheim and said “P.M Imran Khan organized a massive tree planting. Extremists attacked the great efforts of Prime Minister claiming its againt the Islam and all the religious call to save mother earth.

Adviser to Prime Minister Malik Amin Aslam had announced that the premier would plant a sapling in Korang, Islamabad on Sunday evening.

 

Addressing a media conference in Islamabad, he had said that every one provinces, including Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Islamabad Capital Territory are participating within the plantation campaign.

 

Pakistan is that the 5th most vulnerable country to activity within the planet and it’s our responsibility to act now, he said.

 

Referring to a IBRD report on natural action, Aslam said that if action isn’t taken, six districts of Pakistan would be potentially inhabitable by 2050. These districts include Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpur Khas, Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan.

 

Meanwhile, before Sunday noon, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had launched the campaign in his province by planting a tree sapling at the man-made forest at Shadman Market Park in Lahore, created using the Miyawaki method.

 

Speaking to the media, PTI’s Buzdar said that the incumbent government is committed to completing its target of planting 10 billion trees across the country by 2023.

 

 

Plants are friends of the environment and tree plantation is that the requirement of the hour, he added, concerning natural process.

 

The government is functioning to substantiate a clean environment for future generations, in line with the premier’s vision, said Buzdar.

 

According to the chief minister, the provincial government has organised 520 ceremonies across Punjab to mark Tiger Force Day.

 

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the campaign was launched by Federal Religious Affairs Minister Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri with the aim to plant 100 thousand trees within the world. “The KP government aims to plant 2 million saplings across the province today, with over one thousand thousand in Peshawar alone.”

 

Envoys, celebrities participate

 

Meanwhile, Chinese envoy Yao Jing also planted a tree at the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan on Sunday, joining within the nationwide tree plantation drive, to keep with the embassy’s Twitter account.

 

 

“In two years the Chinese Embassy is Pakistan has planted 500 trees within the compound,” tweeted the embassy account. “Green Embassy, Green Pakistan!” it added.

 

The Yemen Embassy also joined in, according to their official Twitter account.

 

Separately, in an amusing upload on Twitter, singer Ali Aftab Saeed posted a video wishing his followers a ‘Happy Tiger Force Day’. Against a backdrop of lush greenery, he invited all Tiger Force volunteers to upload videos of them ‘roaring’.

In the end i pray to Allah this Government complete this project and Pakistan turns in well climate country.
