PU wins HEC Inter-University Women’s Hockey Championship

LAHORE: (Saturday, January 6, 2018): Punjab University’s team has won 36th All Pakistan Inter-University Higher Education Commission Women’s Hockey Championship 2017-18 by 1-0.

According to details, PU’s team beat Lahore College for Women University Lahore’s team in final match at Johar Town Hockey Stadium. PU’s central forward Noreena Khalil scored one goal in the match which led to success. University of Sargodha obtained third position after defeating Government College University Faisalabad.

In the end the Director Sports of Govt College for Women Baghbanpura Ghazala Tariq distributed prizes among the winners. The event’s organizing secretary & Director Sports Dr Zaffar Iqbal Butt, officials and others were also present on the occasion.
