UET Industrial Open House and Career Fair’18

University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore organized 4th Annual International Industrial Open House and Career Fair’18. Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana was the chief guest of the event. At the inaugural ceremony, chief guest Governor Punjab, Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana said,

Punjab government is taking measures to decrease the unemployment. In this line, many projects are functioning to empower the youth with skills, decisions and jobs Government is making efforts to bring the industry on the track to progress and prosperity effectively in present scenario.

He further said, Government is encouraging the entrepreneurship to channelize the determinations for the development of people. Many notable guest speakers Nayyar Ali Dada (renowned Architecture of Pakistan), Mr. Levin (Director of Huawei), engineer Mujahid Chatha (CeO LesCO), Javed Saleem Qureshi (Chairman of PeC), Deans, Chairman of UET and a large number of students were present at this occasion. At the moment vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said,

industry-Academia linkage can strengthen the country and boost economy. then the real objective of research and development will be fully accomplished.

He said that UET is producing quality of skilled persons. In this regards, industry should come forward to hunt the talent for the growth. He emphasized the industry to collaborate with university for betterment of economy. Officials of more than 100 national and Multi-national industries participated in the event and 50 plus stalls were displayed where recruit process was done. The students of the final year presented themselves with their projects and skills which they learnt in series of event connected with this mega fair. At the end vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid presented crest to Governor Punjab, Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, Nayyar Ali Dada, Javed Saleem Qureshi and other guest of honors.
