UMT former vice chancellor and ILM trust chairman has passed away

LAHORE: (September 10,2018): Former Vice Chancellor of University of Management and Technology or ILM trust chairman Doctor Sohaib Murad (1959-2018) has passed away due to tragic road accident near Khunjrab pass on Monday. He was a son of famous and renowned Islamic scholar Khuram Murad.

According to the report the accident took place when he was coming back to Lahore with his son after attending  a seminar. His son Ibrahim Murad was also seriously injured and was admitted to hospital in critical condition.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed deep condoled over the death of Hassan. He said “May Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude,” the chief minister prayed in his condolence message.

UMT rector also expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death by saying: “Surely, we are Allah’s and indeed to Him we are returning. May Allah bless his soul, place him in heaven and give his family the courage to bear this great loss. We pray for the departed soul and extend condolences.”
