Youth mindset and social media

Whenever the political temperature shoots up in Pakistan the electronic media news channels sensationalize talk shows, debates, analysis and discussions. On social media everyone feels smart to give a critique on the issue.

Our youth also take active part in social media discussions. The youth really are the troops of social media war in the form of debates, talks and discussions. They show their political parties affiliation supporting their point of view and defending their political leader’s dignity and image.

The deliberations on social media has a Hypodermic Needle Theory impact on youth.  Breaking news almost of the time break with sensational pitch of voice after that in talk shows our political leaders got hyper and the style of talking or briefing about the issue gives me a feeling like a cock and a bull story.

Often massive users of social media wait for others posts on their favorite issues and immediately get involved in discussions. Sometimes such type of discussions gets louder to the extent to become a bone of contention and heated debates tuned to abusive.

The youth must understand and follow the rules of social discussions and they should never hit below the belt.

We’ve to change our mind first and must be patience and calm to listen to others point of view because while sitting on social media and using abusive language, they can never understand the meaning of the word change.

Thank You.
