QUETTA (December 29, 2017): Jamhuri Watan Party President Shahzain Bugti has said they are actively preparing for 2018 election although their party had boycotted elections of 2008 and 2013.
While talking to The Educationist during an exclusive interview, Shahzain Bugti expressed his doubts that the election 2018 would be completely free and fair in Balochistan.
In response to a question, he said that Balochistan was a peaceful land where people used to roam around independently, before the death of Nawab Akbar Bugti, his grandfather, in 2006.
Shahzain Bugti has blamed Gen (r) Pervaiz Musharraf for the recent crisis in Balochistan. “Due to wrong policies of Gen. (r) Pervaiz Musharraf, the situation of Balochistan became untowned,” he remarked.
In response to another question, he said that from the last three years, the condition of Balochistan has became much better because of the peaceful policies of former Commander Sidran Command Lieutenant General (r) Nasir Janjua. However, he said, there was no (serious) contribution of the federal or the provincial government to bring peace in Balochistan. All credit goes to the sacrifices of Pak Army and paramilitary forces.
He said “the solution of every quarrel in world is table talk. Table talk should be and can be the basis for a peaceful society. He said if the government gave him any responsibility, he will play his role for the betterment of his country.
