ISLAMABAD: Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan said that his team members were capable of manufacturing mobile phone sets and automobile products. “But we were not allowed to perform in these sectors otherwise we could have made the country self-reliant in these sectors.” Addressing the Gold Medal Awards ceremony organised by Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC), AQ Khan said that total volume of budget of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission had never been higher than $ 20 million , but a few ‘quarters’ had been exaggerating about the financial cost.
