ISLAMABAD: Out of 19 shortlisted Case Studies, University of Central Punjab team secured 3rd position in CIIT- CIMA Business Case Study Awards 2015 held on 20th August 2015 at Serena Hotel.
The team comprised Dr Muhammad NadeemDogar (Team Leader, Director Research UCP), Samreen Mahmood and Um-e-Laila (both UCP MS students).
The team won a cash prize of 200,000 rupees. A case study on Summit Bank of Pakistan was developed to explore how a successful merger of three banks was managed by the leadership of the Bank. The top five cases studies of this competition will be published by CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and COMSATS.
UCP team was the only team from academia which made to top three in this competition; all other teams were from the corporate sector of Pakistan. The UCP team success was cherished by Dr Muhammad Zafarullah, Pro-Rector UCP who declared that such achievement would help bridging the gap between academia and industry.
