PU Inqlab group gives briefing on varsity issues to Governor

LAHORE: A delegation of Punjab University Inqlab Group and APCA headed by President Nasir Rehmat called on Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider Khan to discuss issues related to the university and welfare of employees.

The delegation members also included General Secretary Tariq Mehmood Niazi, Chairman Zafar Iqbal Gondal, Senior Vice President Muhammad Shahid, Umar Khan and Rana Muhammad Sajjad.

They discussed with the governor the problems of Punjab University.

Detailed briefing was given by President Nasir Rehmat to the chancellor about the financial crisis of the university.

He discussed the delay in payment of salaries and other remuneration to the staff and the difficulties faced by the staff due to the closure of BA, MA, MBBS examinations and lack of increase in resources.

He asked Governor Punjab to issue NOC from Higher Education to Punjab University to start distance education program and to give 15% special allowance 2022 to Punjab University employees.

The governor listen to the briefing and demands and assured his support for the solution of the problems.
