PU Sports Admission trials begins

Over 2400 players participating

LAHORE (Monday, August 10, 2026): Punjab University Sports Admission trials for 34 men games and 31 women games began at new campus greens and sports complex attracting a large number of athletes from across the country.
Olympian Manzoor ul Hassan senior was the chief guest/ chief selector of the hockey players selection while PU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mahmood Saleem was the guest of honour, Dr Amjad Magsi, Dr Mahboob Hussain, Dr Shabbir Sarwar also graced the event and witnessed evaluation process as sports committee members.

On first day sports trials of Hockey, Basketball, Netball and Rowing held.
More than 2400 candidates have applied on sports quota as compared to last year’s 2100 applicants. Tomorrow trials of swimming, tug of war, fencing and riffle shooting are scheduled.
The sports trials will continue until August 24.
