Technology trapped students must participate in co-curricular activities’

LAHORE: In this era of technology where youth are seen technology trapped, students must spare some time to focus on co-curricular activities to polish their talent and inbuilt abilities.

This was stated by the speakers of HEC-PU-The Educationist All Pakistan Co-curricular Competitions 2017 during the Cash Awards ceremony held at PU Institute of Education and Research (IER). Rs 5,14, 000 cash awards were distributed among 74 winners in the categories of Debates, Naat, Qiraat, Poetry, Essay Writing, painting and Darama competitions.

Daanish Schools, The Punjab School, DPS School children won various positions while among universities PU, UVAS, LCWU, UOL and GCU were prominent. 1275 students across Pakistan participated in the event.

IER Director Prof Dr Rafaqat Ali Akbar, Huawei representative Mr. Du Da Tong, The Educationist Editor Shabbir Sarwar, Daanish School Girls Mianwali Principal and Daanish School Girls Mianwali principal, Dr Abdul Qayyum Ch. and The Educationist Joint Editor Mr. AR Sajid, students, their teachers and parents were present on this occasion.

IER Director Dr. Rafaqat Ali Akbar said that students must focus on their future and participation in co-curricular activities improve their skills and talents and they learn a lot through practicals.  He said The Educationist in collaboration with PU, NAB and HEC provided a platform to the student from all provinces of Pakistan to express themselves and test and improve their talent.
