Entry Test – Trust Deficit

After Punjab there are reports of medical entry test paper lead in Sindh now. Students are protesting in different cities of the province along with their parents and civil society members.

The entry test for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes in medical universities and colleges of the province was conducted by National Testing Service (NTS). The alleged paper leak disappointed thousands of students who appeared in the test on Oct 22. The students have urged higher authorities to take notice of the leak.

It was for the first time when the admission test of medical colleges and universities in Sindh’s five cities was conducted simultaneously in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, and Nawabshah. The chief minister has constituted a five-member inquiry committee to probe the allegations of paper leak. In Punjab a total —– students appeared in Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Entry Test (MDCAT) conducted again on a directive of the Punjab government as well as court orders after allegations of paper leak were proved. Earlier, 65,000+ candidates were appeared in the test.
