Children of Balochistan

Balochistan, the biggest province of Pakistan in term of territory and the smallest in term of population, is suffering badly these days because of the harsh times upon it. In the province, one can’t see a city without nearly the half of the children work. Education is left aside when it comes to the financial problems in particular and the only thing left for them is to start earning.

Corruption is ruling in the hearts of people and the streets are rich in natural resources and poor in education. Once I overheard a parent saying to his own son ” What will you achieve by through education! Go in the garage and learn some technical skills since it is 100 times more better than education.” This is the concept of almost 60% of the residents of Balochistan.
Unfortunately, among these 60%, majority are from rural areas. There is a term in education, career counseling, which is lost in my territory. It is the responsibility of the government to officially counsel its population but has failed to do any career counseling within the province.
Lack of career counseling programs is one the major causes of the lack of education among children. Therefore, I request the federal and provincial governments to take serious interests in stopping the destructive future of children in Balochistan otherwise soon we will go very far in term of illiteracy rate.
