LAHORE: (Thursday, April 18, 2019): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Punjab University and UTP (Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS) Malaysia to increase research collaboration and exchange innovative ideas, experience and transfer of knowledge.
A delegation from UTP Malaysia visited Punjab University and called upon Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad Akhtar at his office. The delegation comprised UTP Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nor Hisham Hamid, Prof Dr Faiz Ahmad, Dr Muhammad Ayoub.

Those present on this occasion included PU Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr Taqi Zahid Butt, Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, Director Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology Prof Dr Abdullah Khan Durrani, Director External Linkages Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen and Chairman Department of Polymer Engineering Prof Dr Rafi Ullah Khan were present. The delegation also visited various departments of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Both the parties expressed their commitment for enhancing academic and research collaboration.
