One of the biggest disappointment in life is often because of the misplaced expectations. It’s a source of unnecessary suffering. It is natural to expect basic things in relationships like love & respect but counting totally on other persons actions may lead to disappointment. Everyone thinks different and may not react with respect to your expectations. It’s best to temper your expectations to reduce unnecessary frustration.
You deserve happiness to live a life you are excited for, so don’t let the opinions of others rule your thinking. Try to approve of your own decisions to avoid others making your decisions. Follow your own intuition & even if you don’t succeed don’t get discouraged. Just keep trying and you will eventually succeed.
You might feel unwanted, unworthy to someone and priceless to others. Try spending time with those people who genuinely value you. No matter how good you are as a person, there will always be people who keep on thinking negative about you & won’t refrain from criticizing you. Simply ignore them and carry on, just stop expecting others to like you.
It is also important to love & respect others. Never judge someone instantly, pay close attention to people who are really important to you and respect them for what they are, and not for what you want them to be. Everyone is remarkable & beautiful, the more you get to know someone, the more you will be able to look beyond their appearance.
It is really important to tell your feelings to the people who are really important to you. No one can read your mind, down the line you have to communicate regularly with others & express what is going inside you. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet must be going through something big in life. Try to overcome your adversities and insecurities by addressing them instead of avoiding. People rarely behave the way you want them to. Hope for the best but expect less. The magnitude of your happiness is directly proportional to your thoughts & how you choose to think. Even if a relationship doesn’t work at all, you can still feel better thinking it taught you something new.
Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s fine. It’s not theirs to make sense of – it’s yours.”
