LAHORE: (Thursday, May 10, 2018): Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, USAID and Punjab University Planning & Development jointly organized a three day workshop for the personality grooming of USAID scholarship holder students. The workshop titled “talent grooming and career counseling workshop” held at the auditoriums of Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology as well as Center for High Energy Physics simultaneously.

Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasira Jabeen was the chief guest at the certificate distribution ceremony while HEC Regional Director Nazir Hussain, Father of Arfa Kareem Col (r) Amjad Karim, PU Director Planning and Development Shabbir Sarwar, trainers from HEC and USAID as well as 195 scholarships holder students were present on the occasion. workshop concluded today at Institute of biochemistry and biotechnology,Punjab University (Lhr.)
VC Nasira Jabeen said that:
Education was getting very expensive and public sector universities were a beacon of hope for the talented students from poor and lower middle class.
She added that PU reflected as a mirror image of the mini Pakistan as students from all cultures, all provinces and all languages were studying under one roof in one class projecting the national solidarity,
Moreover she stated PU was in real sense is a representative university of the country because students from elite class and extremely poor class were studying in the same discipline which is a classical example of equality which lacked in a society in the presence of discrimination in almost all walks of the life.
Amjad Karimand(Col (r)) and HEC Regional Director Nazir Hussain congratulated the participant students, PU and USAID for organizing such a workshop which focused on personality grooming, CV writing, communication skills developments, entrepreneurship ideas and presentation skills in 12 different sessions of the three day learning activities. At the end certificates were distributed among students.
