Lahore (1 May,2018): Labour Day is being observed today in Pakistan. But unfortunately labourers have no holiday.

Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences Uthal, District Lasbela Balochistan issued notification that university will remain closed on 1 May, 2018 on account of labour day. All other scheduled duty employees i.e ( plumbers, drivers, security guards, malis and generator/ tube-well operators will perform their duties as per schedule.

This is a regretful situation that on labour day everyone is on holiday except the labourers. There are many institutes, workplaces and factories where labourers have been called for work today. Government should announce holiday of 1 May for labouerrs only or this holiday should be terminated.
