ISLAMABAD: (Saturday – April 28, 2019): Students displayed their creative projects at the 7th Open House exhibition held at Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), an institute of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) on Saturday.
A large number of professionals from Industry and public sector organizations participated in the activity, according to a statement issued by an official spokesperson of the institution.
The projects covering the area such as Artificial Neural Network, Power Electronics, Brain Imagery Techniques, Structural Analysis, Bio-Medical Engineering, Thermal Hydraulics and Automotive Engineering were on display at the Open House, the spokesperson said.
Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Chairman Engr. Jawed Salim Qureshi, Chairman Rastgar Group and Chairman Innovation Steering Committee of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Mr. Imtiaz Rastgar graced the occasion as guests of honour. PIEAS Rector Dr. Nasir Majid Mirza and senior faculty members welcomed the guests. They applauded the research and development activities of young students displayed in the form of their projects. PAEC Member Science Dr. Masood ul Hassan was also present there.
It is noteworthy that PIEAS is a leading university of the country in science and technology and secures good international ranking.

The open house was an annual activity providing opportunity for PIEAS students to showcase their work to the participants from National R&D and Industrial Organizations. The creative projects of the students reflected the productive education being imparted and spoke volumes of the standard of research being done at the university. – APP
