School is one of the most important part of one’s life because it is the first step towards education. In our country there are 2 types of schools, one are government schools and the second are private schools. Nowadays people think education is a business and they don’t think about the future of our nation.

Quaid e Azam said in his speech

“Education is a matter of life and death for pakistan”

There is a concept that private schools provide quality education. Most parents prefer private schools over government schools because private schools offer more facilities to the students but they demand heavy fee. Parents are bound to pay huge amount on the name of fee.

Everyone wants quality education for their children as education is a basic right of everyone. Parents pay admission fee, application fee, registration fee and exam fee and there is no rule to set the fee structure by the government.Private schools demand unreasonable dues and no one can question them.

Then, there are schools who have set high fee and a very strict admission criteria they enroll only those students who can ensure better results. This artificially inflates the school’s performance/results, and its market, because at the end of the day, parents want to enroll their children in a school with good career opportunities.

Some private schools threaten parents who refuse to pay heavy fee. Most of the private schools demand 3 months fee of summer vacations in advance. Most of the parents do over time job  to pay fee of their children, private schools also demand money on the name of different occasions like sports gala and fun fair.

Our government must give attention towards this serious issue and try to resolve it as soon as possible. Our government should enhance the quality of government schools and should build  more public instititues if not possible at least ministry of education should make strick policy for fee regulation of private schools. Fees should be set permanantly. Government should step forward as soon as possible to ensure quality education in Pakistan
