Prof Shahid Munir resigns as Controller of Examinations, PU VC lauds services

LAHORE: (Thursday, February 22, 2018): Punjab University’s Center for Coal Technology Director Prof Dr Shahid Munir has resigned from the additional duty as Controller of Examinations after serving on the post for more than three years. Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar has appreciated the outstanding and remarkable services of Center for Coal Technology Director Prof Dr Shahid Munir as Controller of Examination.

In a press statement,  VC said that Dr Shahid Munir was a scientist of international stature and his scientific research is much acknowledged. He said that Prof Dr Shahid Munir introduced several reforms at Department of Examinations to facilitate candidates and generate revenue for the university. He also added that Dr Shahid Munir modernized/automated affiliation, registration and various other operations, set up hotline and established facilitation center. A PU spokesman said that the administration was considering giving the additional duty of CE to Principal College of Earth and Environmental Sciences Prof Dr Sajid Rashid, who has earlier served as Resident Officer 1.
