Yoga prevents diabetes, backbone problems: instructor Raman Kumar

CHADIGARH (June 18,2016): Over 2,000 people including Panjab University Chandigarh faculty, students, alumni and other citizens– divided into 44 groups – participated in rehearsal for the International Yoga Day (June 21) at PU cricket ground here.
Dr. Nadeep Goyal, the chief organizer and dean student welfare department, was the in-charge of the in PU.
Dr. Paresh Deputy organizer told The Educationist, the premiere education newspaper of Pakistan, that first doctors took sample of the blood of every participant a month ago and also would take a sample after the rehearsal to examine changes in body of every participant. He said they were doing this practice from a month. “It’s an exercise for the maintenance of body and mind,” he remarked.
To a question about the number of people, Paresh said in starting there were 500 people but their target was 2400.
Yoga instructor Raman Kumar said it was very good for health and maintenance of body and mind and there was no connection between Yoga and religion. “Some people connect yoga to religion but it’s not good thing.” Raman Kumar, who is also coach of Indian international Yoga team, said modern science also proved the medical benefits of yoga.
Yoga also prevents diabetes and backbone problems. He said under his command 10 coaches were working in Afghanistan, 50 in Vietnam and two in UAE.
