The exam held on Friday dated August 11, 2017 at 9:00am for PhD and MPhil Research Track candidates while at 3:00pm for MPhil Professional Track.

According to the details gathered by The Educationist, as many 87 candidates submited applications for PhD, 177 for MPhil Research Track and 269 for MPhil Professional Track.

Three hours exams comprised 80 percent MCQS (Objective questions) and 20 subjective questions.

Passing score required to qualify in PhD test is 70 percent while 50 percent marks required to get through in MPhil exam.

Last year, all admissions to PhD were cancelled after an inquiry wherein it was proved that no candidate could get passing (70 percent) marks. The committee had unanimously decided to give 20 grace marks to all candidates and offer admission to those at the top of the list. However, later after the media trial grace marks given to all candidates were withdrawn and and not even a single candidate could qualify the test.
