LAHORE: Punjab University French Department organized a talent hunt speech contest among the students of BS and MA French. The topic of the speech was “Pakistan as it is Today – and the Pakistan as we want it to be “. There was a tough competition as all the contestants performed really well.
BS 1st semester student, Ms Hajira Amjad won the first prize on the basis of her confident delivery, clear expression and especially a coherent and thought provoking content reflecting the need to overcome the flaws in our own selves instead of blaming others. The speakers emphasised upon the fact that “we all together constitute today’s Pakistan and its society, and our rulers are merely our reflection. Today’s Pakistan will reflect honesty if we become honest; it will reflect truth if we stop telling lies; it will reflect it’s integrity when we practice sincerity, commitment and dedication in our daily life.” The audience gave a warm applause to the speakers.
