UMT Job Fair attracts students: 35+ entrepreneurial stalls of different products were exhibited

LAHORE: UMT Career Fair 2016 was organized by its Office of Career Services (OCS) organized under the theme “Campus to Corporate”. The Career Fair brought 105 MNC, local and SME organizations under one roof and witnessed over 3000+ job seekers from UMT and other universities exploringumt3 internship/job opportunities in their areas of interest. The management of UMT Claimed that this was the biggest Career Fair in the history of Lahore.

UMT Career Fair 2016 was inaugurated by Mr. Jamil A. Naz (Industrialist & Chairman WTO Committees), Mr. David Guo (Director of Training & Certification, Enterprise Business Dept, Middle East, Huawei Tech), Mr. Ibrahim Hasan Murad (Director, UMT), Mr.Bob Wheeler (Dean SBE) and UMO Heads. They congratulated UMT management for organizing such a successful event.

Begum Zakiya Shahnawaz (Minister Population Welfare, Additional charge Environment Protection and Higher Education) and Mr. David Guo (Director of Training & Certification, Enterprise Business Dept, Middle East, Huawei Tech.) were the Chief Guests at the event’s closing ceremony.

This Career Fair was organized in collaboration with Jang Group as media partner, and Careerzumt1360, Huawei, Urban Sole, HBL, Hardees, The Inksters,  Stylo and Bayt.com are the main sponsors.

The main objective of this Career Fair was to provide an opportunity to the students who are looking for jobs. This was a big platform for students, specially UMT Graduates and Alumni to find their required jobs. Students show their keen interest in this Career Fair by giving CV’s to their concerns organizations. It provided an excellent opportunity to meet top recruiters of the country with hundreds of jobs openings.

Students, exclusively talk with The Educationist and share their views, they said it was a big opportunity for graduates to find their jobs under one roof. They are excited and hopeful that they will get their umt2desire jobs. Further they said the university management should organize Career  Fair at least twice a year.

35+ entrepreneurial stalls of different products were exhibited that attracts huge audience. These stalls entertained the visitors with delicious food items.
