LAHORE: The University of Education, Lahore organised the Fourth International Conference on “Education and Research” attracting scholars from Germany, England, Canada, Saudi Arab and across Pakistan who presented 92 research papers on different approaches and aspects of education at the three-day event held on March 24-26, 2016.
Punjab HEC Chairman Dr. Nizamuddin addressed the inaugural session while HEC chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed chaired the concluding session through video link. University of Education Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam presided over the conference while Director Division of Education Dr. Intizar Hussain Butt presented the welcome note.

Punjab HEC Chairman Dr. Nizamuddin emphasised that teachers’ training on modern standards for promoting the quality education was of great importance. He said the Punjab government was spending a huge budget for the betterment of education sector, sustainable development and for implementing new reforms to meet the professional standards because education and research was a real base of developed nations.
“To handle and manage educational problems and challenges being educationist in a better way, is our basic responsibility.” He said that the appointment of College Teaching Internees (CTI’s) in different departments of colleges across the Punjab on vacant seats is an educational friendship step of government. The core purpose of research work of national and international scholars is to serve and improve field of education in true sense so that the dream of an educated and prosperous Pakistan could come true.

ion was an open secret to the progress and development of any nation. “To establish intellectual forums and maintain linkages with national and international reputable educational institutions and academia is key step to promote the quality education.” In promoting culture o

f learning, he emphasized the role of higher educational institutes and stressed the participants to discuss and present a concrete solution to solve out real problems of education.
Prof. Jean B. Hachefrom Canada University also addressed the ceremony and declared the 21st century, a century of learning and innovations. He also talked about the new trends and approaches of effective teaching methodologies.
The basic objective of conference was to discuss current challenges and problems by highlighting the core purpose and different approaches of research and education and also to make an authentic forum for effective learning. More than 92 scholars are presenting their research papers on different approaches and aspects of education while renowned scholars from Germany, England, Canada, Saudi Arab and other countries are also participating.
