Punjab government has been on a roll, if we talk about the provision of facilities in government schools. Many government schools have been upgraded. Various facilities have been provided in schools which were once just in the reach of standard private schools.
Playgroup classes have been started in some schools. Special class rooms has been set for this purpose. Class rooms are colorful and equipped with toys, audio-visual aids and other essentials. A maid has also been appointed for the class. Color days and other activities are held for preschoolers. They are being taught to speak short sentences in English which will help raise the confidence level of students.

Computer labs have been upgraded and are equipped with modern multimedia as well. The use of multimedia not only makes the lessons interesting but also makes the students feel privileged. Tablets are also being provided to the teachers but the number of tabs is insufficient.

Many activities are held at school, cluster, tehsil and district level. Participation is mandatory for all the government schools. These includes celebration of Women’s Day, Anti – Drug and Anti-Corruption Day in addition to other national days’ celebrations.
Security has also been tightened by the provision of trained security guards and CCTV cameras.
It is hoped that these positive steps will gradually reduce the difference between private and public schools. The need of the hour is that government should pay attention to schools in every city, facilities that are being provided in some schools of Punjab should be provided in every government school of Pakistan as still there are many schools in very poor conditions. There should be an eye on government schools for best education. Hoping to see quality public institutes in all over the PAKISTAN.
